Livestock Immersion HeaterWe stock two versions of this heater, the coated with teflon version, and the non-coated version (less expensive). We sell about half & half on the two versions. These heaters are 250watt, 125volt, submersed in the valve box of a livestock waterer, usually under the float, and they automatically come on around 40 degrees to keep the water in the valve box and part of the water in the trough ice free. During the summer months when you know this handy little device won't be needed, we recommend you take it out of the unit, clean it up, and store it in the barn. This will add life to the unit and it just unplugs like a toaster so it's not a problem to remove it. |
